Autumn colour

I had a good informative walk with Deadwater Valley Trust ranger Jamie Cummins and his dog in Bordon enclosure. Jamie was very generous with his time and told me a lot about the rich and varied local flora and fauna, including rarities. We hope to be able to hold a workshop in a local school sometime soon.

I had a very nice morning with Peter Drury and Ann Griffiths who showed me some great locations on and near Shipwrights Way on the northern part of the island. One particular site adjacent to the oyster pens gives wide ranging views from the South Downs to the Isle of Wight with the oyster pens in the foreground.

Peter and Ann – both have a great enthusiasm for the locality and are mines of information
